What a finish-only laundry looks like
Keep the washer and dryer where they are. Add painted storage, a folding surface that does not need new waste lines, new interior doors, and a floor transition that matches the hall. Patch and paint the walls. That is an R101 room. Moving the washer to another wall, adding a sink where there is no drain, or installing a 240-volt dryer outlet is plumber and electrician work. Those items are referred out, then we finish around them if you still want the surfaces.
Mudrooms off the garage
Newer Lehi, Draper, and South Jordan plans often have a drop zone that never received hooks, a bench, or durable paint. We can build that storage as interior carpentry inside the existing footprint. We do not cut a new exterior door, alter the garage fire separation, or run new circuits for a bank of lockers. Those are other licenses.
How it sits on a multi-room remodel
A laundry and a mudroom are a natural pair with a hall repaint and two interior doors. That package should still be one scope with one cap check. If you also want a basement finish, that is a different page and a different permit path. Price storage by the linear foot, not as 'built-ins included.' The punch list should include door swings with backpacks in mind, not only empty-room photos.

Can you remodel a laundry room without moving the washer?
Yes. Keeping the hookups and finishing the room — paint, drywall, storage, doors — is the non-structural version of the job. New drains and new dryer circuits are referred to licensed trades.
Do you add a laundry sink?
Only when a licensed plumber can do the drain and supply on their license. We finish the cabinet and the surrounding walls. We do not run the plumbing.
Can you build a mudroom bench in an existing hall?
Yes, as interior carpentry inside existing walls, under the R101 cap. Hardwired lighting in the bench is electrician work.
Is a laundry refresh a permitted project?
Finish-only work in an already-finished laundry usually is not. New plumbing or electrical is. We split those on the scope.
